Raystown Lake September 9th-11th

Raystown Lake in early September will still be very rough on the weekend. I have boated there for over 15 years so I know the lake. If you want a smooth ride on the weekend at that time you need to go early in the morning. I'm not saying it is the nicest thing to get up early and go but I don't think doing it 1 out of 2 days will kill anyone. The boat traffic does not die off right after labor day. By early October the lake is empty. I will be there that weekend and on the water early for a nice ride. If I am going to burn gas @ $4.00 then I am going to burn it going for a nice ride.

We usually do have it the last weekend of the month but prior engagements forced us to move it up. If the water gets too rough then I will be forced to sit around the fire and drink until I am drunk and just tell you guys how bad I would have kicked your buts if it was not rough.

I just got back in from doing some trailer service. 4 new tires as the old ones were "auto" tires and 8 years old. Also repacking the bearings...

150.00 a night for beachfront if there is any left (two bedroom bungalow)

There are cheaper options for lodging if you don't want to stay at a bungalow. You could stay in the lodge or get a site and set up a tent.

We stay at the beach front bungalows as do most others. Launch area is a 5 minute walk.
