21 Sleekcraft Mod V tunnel- set up help

Well, I'm getting the transome rebuilt next week to start. All composite with aluminum plates inside and out. Got a hydrolic bob's jack plate, seastar pro hyd streering. Made the big purchase and bought an 05 300x that was rebuilt by simon motor sports. Gutted the upholtry and looking for good safe seats. Not sure what all I'm going to need for contols yet? Thinking about getting a hot foot and have the older merc controls still with the boat to shift it if I can get that to work? The boats is on the heavyer side with a solid floor that I was thinking about removing. Possibly going with something lighter and redoing the carpet while I was at it. I wanna see 90+ and Can't find anyone with this hull with an outboard. Originally had a 3.0 225 and it did 70. which would be blaa. Also would it be worth modifying the back of the hull. The center pod has a slight V and was thinking about shaving the last foot of it flat for a pad to run on? Thanks for any advise , Mike

Is it a sst. How much setback?

I'm getting ready to rerig mine it hasn't been on the water for seven years. I'm thinking on running 12inches with a 1997 260 offshore mid that I read has two more inches of set back than the standard ones that would put me at 14 witch seemed good back then

Jack plated has 6'' set back. No prop yet, was thinking 26 to 28?? something with some lift and a surface prop. Any suggestions?? Might have to try a few out before I make the buy. Been looking at the twin tanks and old fuel lines. What do I need to make the fuel system work right. Not sure if I should just plumb each tank into a single fuel/ water seperator then into the X? Who's got solid seats for this thing? Would like something on the safe side to stay bolted down at high speed. Not an sst, its a JRT

I'm sorry it took a few. I'm not sure what the three liters weigh compared to the 2.5's if weight isn't my different than I would say you might want to run more than six inches of setback. Get her to fly with very little trim that weigh, faster that way. I ran a merc chopper but I'm sure there are better props now days I was gonna look into a the lightning et, and the yamaha drag. Any input guys?

Heres a few of my 1976 Aristocrat thats been slightly modified. 300 promax,10" sedtback, 28 pro ET, 12"x 18" Lenco trim tabs. These hulls like a lot of setback and the weight of the 3 litre. with the right setup you should see 90 with the 300X

Update: Found good seats online for it. Picked up a Rex foot control. Wanted any thoughts on the Bob's extreme Jack plate. This boat is on the heavy side and everyone is talking about big set back. How will this thing steer with that much set back? Seen the Bob's 10 inch set back Hydrolic jack plate. Motor is pushing 335 hp+. Also looking into props. I have a fat shaft on my 300x. Thinking to start with a 28. Not sure what cut?? thanks Mike
