Calling all Aussies! S3000/Auzzie PULP q's??
Ive just got my stock S3000 running on my bullet, Its running 36cc heads which is giving me 125psi on all six pots.
My question is how much comp can i push on our auzzie 98 pump fuel?
I also have a set of 26cc heads, which i think will be on the limit... But also have the option of running the thick head gaskets 0.60.
Any help is much appreciated

from what i have worked out our 98 is the equivalent to 93 in the U.S. so you should be able to run around 145 to 150 psi, just going off what i have found on here, my 2 litre runs 135 psi with no probs whatsoever!!

HI there
I would not run 26cc heads with 0.60 gaskets on 98 RON. It will not work.
If you are looking for more Comp dont go below 30cc with the thin 0.60 gaskets, you'll be safe.
You have to remeber you need a 'window' of safe operation, becuase you are using standard 'pump grade' fuel.
It WILL vary in octane over the season.
Buy A set of heads 34- 36 and have them machined to suit.

Just a note most of the car and bike forums seem to say Mobil8000 or Caltex Vortex are the better of the 98RON fuels

Yep. And call me crazy, but the fuel quality we get 'up north' here doesn't seem anywhere near as consistent as that what the Sydney and Melbourne guys have??

I would go lower than 30cc. had a mate running a 2.5L with monster ports on BP 98 with an A14 computer at 40:1 and never had an issue. The trick to buy fuel from the same service station that has a high volume turn over and not near the water if you can help it
