Hey Ross, here's a real Mod 50 OMC. This guy is working on 90mph/gps. When I drove it last year, we could only get 87 on the eTrex. His boat is known as the "white whale"

The 50 isn't loud at all. Once my motor starts, you can hardly tell he's even out there.
Both motors run in Formula E Hydro on the east coast. Supposedly several just like this motor have been ordered for next year. This one will continue to run on the white whale which is being modified by "Farmer" John Runne, one of the east coast small hydro hot shots. Farmer gets cross eyed and goes into a faint if you try to tell him more about an engine except "put gas in it and pull the rope", but he had great success this year with many boats he built winning at the APBA Stock and Mod Nationals.
He has orders for 10 hydros over this winter.

That engine looks identical to the engine anthony mchollua make over on tha eastcoast in virginia beach. He also runs it in FEH class.

Yes, that is Anthony's motor......well.... now I think that one belongs to Farmer Runne.
What is the advantage of the pipe? It increases the power from 60hp to about 90hp. The front part pulls the exhaust out of the cylinder and a little of the fresh charge.....and the back crams the fresh charge back in the cylinder after the transfer ports are closed....sort of like a backwards supercharger.
