Found out today my motor burned a reed on #4 cylinder due to a back fire. the reeds were bought from Chris Carson Marine last summer and only had 20 hours on them. Called chris carson and he explained this happend probly due to a backfire. possible cause timing not advanced enough or lean condition. not a defect in product but he still replaced the reeds at no cost to me and he send a couple of extras to me all at no cost this is truly a good vendor on this site and I just want to take the time to let everyone here know how good he is and how he stands behind his products thank you Chris Carson I truly appreciate your service.

i have emailed Chris Carson twice in the last days as i need to buy three sets of reed valves for three merc 300x engines. he never replied to my emails! anyone knows what's going on?

The last couple of days sounds like Saturday and Sunday .. I would give him call tomorrow durring normal buisness hours and I'm sure he will have your reed's on the way to you in short order...

Motor back together and ran on the hose saturday.Unfourtunatly its been raining eversince. if I get a break am running down to the kake to test only 5 miles from house. them v-8's sound awesome running on the hose they could here it 1/4 mile away at the fire house could'nt figure it out what was making all the noise at first. call chris he always answered my calls?

when i said in the last days i did not mean during this last weekend, but quite a number of days had passed. anyway i sent a PM to chris carson and he replied immediately and was very very helpful, and also apologised for not replying to my emails. very satisfied indeed. let's see what his reeds to on a triple 300x application :-)

I recently had problems with my boat motor, it needed to be rebuilt. After shopping around I decided to send my power head to Chris Carson Marine. I live in Washington State so shipping the power head to Florida was a concern. Chris set up the shipping and it was at very reasonable rates. When the power headcame back not only was it totally rebuilt but tuned up and ready to run. I was pleasantly surprised how easy the process was. My motor, a 94 200 hp Mercury, is running great. Chris is an outstanding individual to deal with, he always took extra time to answer any questions that I had.
