Is there a place around montreal you meet guy's it will be a pleasure to run whit you.
We were there last summer just after the Valleyfield Regatta in Montreal. What a BEAUTIFUL area - fabulous lake ~!!
My husbands gggggrandfather and gggggrand-uncle were the very first inhabitants of that area in 1795 (Came from Mass. just after discharge from service in the Rev. War) The historical society from village of Knowlton even erected a giant engraved stone on the site of the original cabin in honor of the pioneering "Collins" family of West Brome. The rock is still there, along with a brand new wrought iron and stone gated entrance.
That was really awesome. We hope to get back there someday and spend more time there.
So I guess you could say we are "Part-Canuk".

Boys
Thanks for the compliments! It's nice to hear postitve feedback on your ride. Much appreciated I hope to meet a few of you this summer coming up. ProComp and a few others from our city hit some of the events and I want to see what it's all about.
I have spoken to Yammer along w/ a couple of other Yamaha go fast guys and I'm pretty fired up about next year; I hope to have this thing flying by May long weekend.

resurrection.......
Hey, I'm kinda new to the forum but I can't resist resurrecting this old thread. Can't have everyone thinking we have only outboards in Canada!
I've met a few of you already since I joined the PBCC in the winter and I've made it to 2 events so far but for the rest of you...
I also started my performance boating with a Glen-L Supar Spartan. I modified the cockpit to look more like the cowl on a raceboat, I have pics somewhere I will try to find and scan. It ran a 35 HP Viking which was basically an OMC and the biggest prop I could get for it(which I also had a prop shop "bend" up 2").
I currently run my second Glen L boat. A Rampage hull I call "Frayed Ends of Sanity". It has a 460 Ford bored out to 468, ported 76cc DOVE heads, roller rockers, Weiand Stealth intake, 750 edlebrock, Comp CAM, 10.7:1 hypereutectic pistons(one of which recently broke, grrrr), Cobrajet rods, balanced lower end, MSD etc etc I think the motor is putting out around 500 ponies. It sure feels like it is anyway! The motor spins a Berkeley 12JG pump and it is quite literally getting an old power trim unit as we speak(Jetovator). I hope to have that operational by the weekend.
Its great to find a place to talk with a bunch of fellow boaters and its great to see/hear about all the "little" Glen L boats that are still around(and being built). I always figured there were tons out there somewhere. I really want to build another one soon when $/time permits. I program a CNC router for a large millwork company so needless to say I have access to some pretty good equipment to make the job easy.
Cheers all, good to see all the Canucks on the forum

Never saw this thread...
Proud to be Canadian.Live about 30 min outside of T.O, in a town of 70,000 called Newmarket. I boat in the Kawartha's, on a lake called Balsam Lake. My dad has a 19' Tempest, with a 350 I/O. I have my mx-13, with a stock 65 3cyl merc, with T&T. Only got to have about an hour on her, then it threw the timing belt, and a clogged high speed jet. Hopefully it will be running this wknd.

Hey! I'm Bryan, I live just outside of Toronto in Aurora. I boat in the Haliburton area on a few different lakes during the summer. I started with a glen-l TnT and recently moved on to a 14.5' fibertron with a 110 merc which i'm in the process of replacing. Next year I hope to upgrade boats again to a 18' charger stv or else a hydrostream vector or v-king.

Hi guys Canadians ROCK! I am sorry to say that I am not from Canada. But I feel like I should be. Our famly has been on Chandos lake for more years then I can remember. I have made some good friends and I always am made to feel welcome.

Canadian EH
1988 Canadian Edition Vision, Picture shows it with a 75 merc, currently has a 90 Johnson. Hot foot, Jack plate, other than that it's stock. I'm looking for a Mercury 150-175 hp to replace the 90, should make it a little more exciting! The boat is immaculate condition, It's mostly going to be used On the Quebec side on a lake called Lac Bernard.
