difference between closed deck and open deck
Does anybody have any pictures showing the difference between an open deck and closed deck omc?

Thanks for the pictures. I understand now. When I think of a closed deck I was thinking more like the Mercury motors without heads where you have to put pistons in through the bottom.

Here is a ~99-01 closed deck 90* V6 and no theres no head gasket on it

themdshrk69 inquired about v8s all being open decks, somewhere I remember reading tomaprilsswitzer having pics of a closed deck v8....
I remember it well cuz I joked about the pic being photoshopped and he done got pissed at me! Dang! I'ze just jokin'!
