Power Programers for Gas engines

Anyone have any information on Power Programers to get more power and/or fuel milage out of gas engines? I'm looking for something for my 4.3 GM Vortec and 5.7 Gm Vortec. I don't have any experience with this stuff, so I'm learning. Thanks in advance!

I bought a HyperTech Power Programmer for my V6/Automatic 2003 S10 Xtreme Xcab,
didn't see any of the claims to help in mileage, but I did like being able to firm up the shift
points..............was it worth the money......at the time I'd say yes, but looking back I wouldn't do it again................

I just put an Edge on my diesel and I found the same thing. Improvements in shifting but not a bit on mileage.

ok, so far I found out that Hypertech makes a programer for my 4.3 Vortec. Are they the only one?

Haven't found anything for the 5.7 Vortec in the 1998 GM pick up yet.
