This is what I think about folks from EAST TEXAS!!!!!!!!
SALT OF THE EARTH!! I just got home last night after reluctantly driving 780 miles ( one way ) from Jacksonville FL to Orange TX to deliver my boat with nothing more than a man's word that he was going to buy it and boy am I glad I did ! Well worth the 22 hours of driving. The boys that purchased my boat/motor put me up in a nice hotel, paid for my fuel BOTH ways, and fed me like a king. I can NOT say enough kind words about them. I would have kicked myself in the a$$ if I would have passed up the opportunity to meet such a great bunch of guys. Im sure I will be back. I don't know if they wish to stay quite about the purchase so I will let them chime in if they would like.
Selling my boat after just finishing it was something that I had to do in order to finish another project. I hated to do it but I did however hit my goal ( 120+mph ) the afternoon before I drove it out West! Thanks to Tim at Performance Propeller for putting up with me after sending my wheel back to him repeatedly to get it dialed in just right. Also got to thank Randy Corson for reluctantly painting my boat and doing such a great job. Once my Jeep project is done and sold I believe my next plan will be to build the fastest single engine 300xs powered boat. I really love that motor. We will just have to wait and see what the cards hold.
Thanks again,

I've spent two one week trips in Seadrift, everyone I met was very friendly, esp. the Cowgirl!

Clockwork - thanks for your kind words about a fellow Texan! I man has his word and his views about how he treats other people and that's about it!
Good luck with your Jeep project.
Hope that your beautiful 2.5 sold awhile back found a good home!
Ted - I had the same experience when I went to look at Baitcaster's Allison west of Baton Rouge...... Louisiana people are good, decent, down-to-earth folks who'll give you the shirt off their backs to help a friend out!
