For chris carson marine
For Chris Carson, Do you make reeds for vertical reed v6 mercs? Thought I would ask here rather than PM, other people might wonder the same thing. Thanks, Gary. (86 175 2.4)

I'm sure he does, the 5 petal reeds are the same, whether vertical or horizontal.

Thankx pete, that makes sense. Ive never messed with reeds. Pete, do u think it pays to go to a horizontal front on this motor, is the hassle worth it? Getting various opinions. Have heads cut, short tuner ect.

I don't much believe in making a lot of changes to smaller powerheads. It seems like you always end up spending more than just replacing with a larger powerhead.

Pete, I had the heads cut to 35cc on jim rucks recomendation. I was just thinking about cutting them to 32cc and get the reeds and thats it. Looking for better low and midrange, not really top end. This is on a vector. What do u think?

Not real sure on improving mid range, the horizontal front would be considered a top end mod, in my mind. I know a spacer can help with mid range, need some of these other guys to pipe up.
