    1973 Mercury 1500 carb questions??

I'm working on my '73 1500 and am a bit confused as to which carb kit(s) I need. I'm on Crowley Marines parts fiche site and there are a couple of kits available,

    1395-51091
    1395-6468

Also, while I'm into them are there any changes I should make, jetting..... etc? I'm pretty much running between sea level and 1500'. Thanks!

What you need is a float (1395-8983), needle and seat (1395-8318) and a gasket kit (1399-3523). Mercury is in the process of jacking up their part #'s so these may have changed. Go up two sizes on the mains and retard the timing 2-3 degrees.
