That sounds about right. You can also find the complete kits that include the Pro kevlar hoses HK73XX (XX is the feet of hose, for example HK7318 has 18 foot hoses).

I ended up ordering locally and got the entire Pro setup seperately with the 6345 Pro cylinder (not the kit that comes with non-pro 5345 cylinder). Ended up costing me about 200 more than the kit price, I got the Pro helm/ Pro cylinder/Pro 18ft lines/ and 2 quarts of oil.

    Sea Star Pro

I think the pro is more suited for a V bottom cause of quicker response... May be wrong...

Cycle it from one end to the other several times. It will work the air into the helm eventually. Other wise you may just need to bleed it. I always reused the oil I pumped out.

Again, as far as the keyed cylinder, hype and sales gimmick. If you install it correctly, it will bind as it is a tapered fit. If you torque the hardware correctly and use the correct spacers, you should have no problems.

As far as the leaking end caps, that can be solved by a visit to your local hydraulic shop to buy $10 worth of O rings... Unless you are just a lazy sloth and prefer to buy all new stuff.

Those that know what works, know. Those that do not will remain ignorant I guess.

SeaStar Pro, Kevlar hoses, stock cylinder.

I have four boats, the only thing that’s the the exact same on all of them is the steering. Just like forkin said....teleflex pro gets it done very well.
