Hydrostream question ,what's is 1985 vulture made of ??

What was a 1985 vulture xt made of ,what fiber glass did they use?resin? Etc.....and what is compadable ? Want do it stronger and liter have some ideas but want to do it right ,I'm re doing the strings ,and transom and want use the correct products ,thank you

The resin is polyester, the core is balsa. Vinylester or epoxy would be stronger. It's debatable weather balsa or composites are better.

They were engineered for balsa core, and would have been built differently with any composites. It is unusual to see a manufacturer switch materials, whether resin, cloth, or core, that the lay up is not impacted. Sticking with factory engineering but with careful quality control will net you a boat that is solid.
