This sucks
Well don't this just suck. Here I was starting to think that we might actually get some outboard jet races going this year just like back in the day but it looks like we're getting the same old story we've heard since the last races. There gonna be in Van Buren this year but it never happens does it? No one know what to do to set it up and the people that do know won't do it. The races are dead and gone and I don't ever see them coming back. Oh well.

That's just it I have no clue where to go or who to call to get something together. I'd love to see it happen and I think there would be a nice turn out.

Probably need to get above the gap. With this economy the river is more popular than ever. Mister Green Jeans pretty well keeps his place through the no zone looking for underage drinking and drugs.
I would say Pin Oak or above. There's some pretty good stretches in a few places that also have good sand bars.

It wouldn't be to bad to set up a small outlaw race but it would be nice to get it set up so we wouldn't have to worry about the green jeans.

What a shame...
Thread sure died fast. Why does everyone speak of Lance Sutton's former boat? Sure it was still fast, and he kept the motor, but that boat's long gone. We race on the Meramec every weekend....

sounds fun
This sounds like fun... We run eleven point mostly but would come up to current river if there was a race. I could get atleast 3 boats to race we run everything from 25hp jets to 3 cylinder 60's

If you want to race that size of motor, current is the place to go and were it all started... The faster boats runs from two rivers up... Then there is two or three that runs decent towards log lard... Hope to see some guys racing and having fun..... Instead of afraid setting on the bank talking how fast they are...like most...

Mr. Zoom, outside of G.W & Jason's riding boats I don't know that anybody above 2rivers is faster than the top 5 boats from around log yard. But there's only one way to find out...
Wishful Thinkin' where do you guys race on the Meramec, what size motors?

There might be 1 boat from the log yard that might be in the top 5 in those two areas....
