Sarasota, New Years Day FUN RUN 1-1-11
We do a Fun Run here in Sarasota on New Years Day. We meet at the Sarasota 10th St boat ramp at noon and go to a local place (either Mar Vista or Casey Key Fish House) for lunch and drinks. Depending on the weather we'll go in the Gulf or the Bay. We've had up to 25 boats go before. So come on out and we'll have fun!!!!! No entry, no prizes, just good times! We will have a few photographers on hand to capture all the action. Boats of all shapes and sizes make the run.

Gonna try againg to make it this year, Boat is running like a top, trailers still a little shaky, but it made it to sanibel, whats a few more miles.

I will be staying on Longboat Key for the 1st. If it ain't freezing or blowing, I would like to run around with you guys. Sounds like a good time. There's usually some where out of the wind to park it and party for a bit... To defrost some from runnin hard..

last year's run started out rainy, very windy and pretty cold... shortly after the sun came out, the wind died down and I think everyone was having a blast! i just hope the same guy is on the grill this year the food was killer. not too many boats came out but there was some really nice hardware
big thanks to Pete for the pics. i know if enough boats show up he is going to get a helicopter for this run
