ID:	222678I did a section of the floor back in the spring but found the rear section also rotted so I decided to tear it all out.Its a jetboat conversion that was done 20 years ago but The pervoius owner failed to seal the thru holes or the drain hole thru the stringers so I get to clean it up.Im doing the floor in 1/2" and the transom in 3 layers of 3/4" plywood,Im also planning on making a one piece knee brace/stringer using a scarf joint to join the exitisting stringer to the new ply, hopefully the pics work. Its been a nice itchy mess so far

I cut the transom wood out today,3 layers of 3/4" marine grade plywood.I'm waiting on the cloth to start the laminating Im a bad carpenter so I'll fill the the gaps in with epoxy mixed with cabosil.

Wingnut... For a real hot debate, you should have asked if you should use a composite or some plywood. Poly or epoxy... That will get the natives stirred up.... Have you thought about trim tabs yet? Looks good, keep it going with pics.... My advice is... Dont spill any beer while working, the epoxy won't harden properly.

Ok I have a question for you fiberglass guys.....Do I lay tape in all the corners of the transom and knee/stringers and then another layer of cloth over everything or do I glass it all in at once?I layed the transom in tonight with three sides glassed and the exposed side facing out and soon I'll be making the knee/stringers.I'm just wondering which direction to go???
