Finally figured out how to do a "Degree", symbol, keyboard!
Got sick of the extra typing out.."DEGREE", as no small upper case "0", the surfboard.
Figured it out, key board shortcut. now simple...degree is (sample..32°)
When ya want to do a degree symbol, just do the number, then hit..'ALT" key, hold down, and hit 0176, the number pad. Number lock on, might not work some laptops though.

Thats pretty cool Robbie. I tried it and it worked on my HP key board. But you have only saved typing one letter including holding the alt key.
I always do a Degree as (32deg or 32*)Bud Conner "Heathen" "Defending Our Constitution"

Glad to see you're coming out of the dark ages Robby. Pop quiz next week to see if you remember it.

You may want to try some of the other ASCII characters...

...and don't get a Mac! I got one about a year ago, their biggest baddest machine with dual chips and dual monitors (I write software for a living) and I hate the stupid thing. I'd rather have got a nice HP with Windows instead of this Mac.
I've been using Linux on my desktop for over 10 years before this Mac, and I'd say the Linux machines are friendly than this Mac. (Still use Linux on all my servers of course ) I'm sick of the answer "It's a Mac thing" -- waste of money.

No thanks. Too much trouble with them. My Mom has one... well this is number 3 and she only uses it for email. First one just died, second one the monitor went out (I think they put everything into one unit to scam you on money. If I want that, I'll get a laptop.), so this number 3. My windows POS has lasted 4 times longer than hers and it was used when I got it.
There may be a reason to switch, but dammed if I can find a good one.
