My new baby. 350 w/3.73's. Amazingly, the thing is a rocket!
Love full size vans for towing/traveling. All the seats come out and makes a baby Winnebego

Rick, horrible! I don't know exactly as the previous owner switched the 3.42's to 3.73's and didn't re-cal the speedo. Had it to the dealer too and they say it's to old to get the code to do it.
W/a GPS in the van, reading 78 MPH's, the speedo says 95
F14, very cool. Could tell it was a tunnel and didn't look like a common one. Gorgeous!I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

Gary it's not to old for a reflash. I had my Impala SS done after gears, made a big difference. I use pcmforless.com. They will get the speedo working and also help the mileage, several things run differently with a gear swap without the reflash. The owners name is Bryan Herters, knows his GM computers. Kurt

Wow. Awesome stuff Kurt. I researched it and found one of the tuner companies sold a unit capable of doing it but was $200.
My local dealer said they could do it for a $100. which I was OK with. Took it to them 1st on a Saturday but the tech said he couldn't do it w/o GM being open so I brought it back on a week day. That tech said he talked to GM and was told that it was too old for them to still have the code.
I wrote it off as being a GMC instead of a Chevy van that may have had a separate odd ball code.
I've done the math and my speedo is off over 15%. What pisses me off more than that is my odometer shows 120K when it really has just over 100K.
Never thought of the other, potential effects on performance.
How did they do yours? Did you have to send it to them??
Thanks again Kurt. I will call tomorrow.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

They will do it several ways, they can send you a flashed unit, you send them yours,or you can send them yours and wait to get it back, which is what I did. Want to say I paid 175.
He changes many parameters, shift points,on my car advanced the timing(had to burn premium).I am sure the mileage will improve, ask, he was very honest, although it has been three years. Good luck! That is a nice van, I have had three Gm full size vans myself. It's nice to have a place to crash when needed without a big camper or motor home. Kurt

Awesome. Thanks again Kurt.
Yeah, it's as nice in person as in the pix's. Came w/3 bench seats and the 3rd one drops to a small bed. I normally drive it w/the just the front one in in case I find something I need to own on the way home. I keep a twin size inflatable bed and pump in the back too. Long trips I pull the prta potti out of the Sonic and make the Mrs do it on the fly ; )
I think this is my 4th full size van. The wife thought I was nuts when I sold our extended cab chevy p/u to buy this. Now she loves it.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

A bit different.
This is the shop truck. 1969 Dodge A100.
1965 100hp Merc on a 15' Grizzly Jon Boat.
Tons of fun.!
The Truck is 100% electric and tows the boat just fine.!
Have not towed the VENOM with it yet but Im sure karl will.
It was a blast to convert the truck. Took me 220 hours for the complete conversion.
Been on the road now for almost a year with ZERO issues.
Dago.
