Installed front ball hitch. Best thing ever for pushing around yard and polebarns. Working on my 1973 Ford LGT165, that will be my new designated 2 speed hydrostatic boat and car mover. With front mounted hydraulic lifting ball hitch. 6 boats is a bitch to move around sometimes.

I ended up with a front hitch on my Dodge (came on the winch bumper I bought). I guess I’ve been backing them too long for it to do me any good! I used the front hitch on it once to move a boat around the yard and I didn’t care for it at all!

I just stepped up to a big dumb slow boat (that's what I am calling mine anyway, not yours!) like your check and was worried about how my silverado would tow it, hows the handling with the SS?

I'll have electric over hydraulic brakes and a tri axle trailer which seems to really help with the tongue weight, but haven't moved it yet. 288 sunsation, weight seems to be 4500, but having a hard time finding out if that is hull only, or hull ready to ride minus gas.

Mine is about 6200 including the trailer. Does well pulling w/400hp, 4:10 gears and factory airbag leveling system. Not sure if I need to add any swap control device until I get some tow time this summer. I'm sure your is around 7000lbs or more. Check the trailer ID plate for max weight and may also have empty weight.
