I took that picture and I think it was Hillborn, but it was in 1967 at the National Drags in Perris, so fog has set in. I will try to scan the original again and see if I can see any better.

I scanned the original again and made it big, but there is no name on it. Could be Algon. Whoever made it, made it for that motor. The castings are pretty nice, no welding marks, no cobble up job there.

Jack Oxley was the man behind making the drag stuff run, he was a long time friend of my father. They had Algon injection when they later went to the Jones hydro, Mark 75h is correct on the lowers.

After having mechanical fuel injection on our Gasser drag car(it was Endelie) I have a lot of respect for anyone using it on non intended applications!! Does anyone know when it was first used on outboards and and how much power increase it had on 2-strokes. I know that it had quite an increase on hp on our 402 ci AMC over the large (think they were called 4500 model) Holly carbs. That was back in the early 70s but I think I have it correct. There is nothin like the sound of a well tuned injected ,hi compression engine!!! Gary

1975-1976-1977 electronic on the 105 and others was a good system. In 76 the 105 bumped psi to 165 with the new ign , some had the new powerflow lower and leg. Probably the best of all the 105s until 78 when the new leg and one piece lu came in for all the triples and fours, except psi went down again to 145 and ign when back to breakerless distributor which wasn't as good as the points distributor for hours of use. The Prestolite electronic was next, your favorite I think.

    Interesting.
Compression was what shocked me w/the 150 5 banger I worked on.
Checked it w/a second gauge cuz I didn't believe the first!
    Thinking high 140's??

Have a couple of 5s on the build one at 170 the other 195. Factory stacker 135HP is 175-185psi advertised to run on regular leaded back in the day . 150 HP stacker 195psi .

    Wow. Had no idea.
My 150 memories are from several yrs back so hazy at actual numbers but remember being blown away by them.
