wow, now that you have all stated the horror if watching that jackplate, before I saw that all I could think of was OMG that poor skeg!
COOL as hell to see it go, congratulations.

not a case for or against because I have not used a Bobs, but they do advertise an "extreme series jackplate" for heavier/higher hp engines.

Yep. Remember too that most were not advertised for the OMC V-8 which was 550 lbs and the Honda is heavier than that. Plus jacked to the moon.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

The CMC stainless steel plate was built for the OMC V8.

    I used to have one.

They are extremely strong, but extremely expensive.

I know some were rated for that weight but most were not.

GREAT VIDEOS SWEED!!!! Im very impressed with the setup youve done with the Honda. Transom mounted pickups good idea because I was wondering in the first vid how your water pressure was. Did you block off the water pickups on the gearcase? What gearcase mods do you have? Also you might look into a skid plainer like the Allisons have. It will deflect the water from going up your Jackplate. It seemed to catch up there a lot in the vid and even brazed the corners of the plate at WOT threw some small wakes. Your hole shot will have way less drag so faster up and out also.

Very cool setup!! Your going to have a lot of Q with such a new School setup busting 100. Way to Go!! BTW got some good picks of the whole package maybe under the cowl to if its not to top secret. Im impressed.

I boxed my jackplate in on the bottom to reduce the water column that comes through it when I back down I wonder if thats why my jack plate doesn't do that or is it simply because im only running 50mph.

this is the boat a 24 ft twister cat weight total 950 kg
best speed 99,8 mph 1 per
    98 mph whide 2 pepol
    96 whide 3 pepol
    94 whide 4 pepol
the goal is to run 103-104 mph whide a standar engine and hafter that put a charger on it
Great video and nice fatigue test of the aluminum in the jackplate.

Do you really need that much setback with a heavy engine on the transom? Doesn't the Twister generate aerodynamic lift?
