Is there a boat & motor price guide? How do you know what a fair price is?
I want to sell a couple things so I need to find out what a fair price would be on a 2006 225 Pro XS and the 225 Johnson I have listed. I just took a shot in the dark about the Johnson price so I could list it.

NADA lists prices, but they are so far below reality....especially on performance boats and motors...that it's not even worth checking them.
The best thing to do is research what they are selling for on this site, then use that as a guideline.

I work in sales and use a program called A.B.O.S. that has proven to be decently accurate with values in the past...Obviously Scream & Fly will be your most accurate source being the market for that type of motor is most popular on this site. But from what I'm seeing, the retail value of the motor is about $8,800 assuming it's just bone stock and has normal wear and tear. There's no right answer to this question of worth really to tell you the truth...If you kept up on the motor or done upgrades it is worth more. Just my two cents.

Thanks. I haven't seen any 225 Pro XS motors for sale.
