I have always heard (from many old racers) the Toho race was the first 'official' OPC race. My question about the Lake X race would be was it an actual open invitation race or a Mercury show? I just can't imagine the Old Man taking any chance of Brand X pulling off a win on HIS lake.

If you have Johns scrapbook you need a scanner. There must be a ton of good stuff in there.

I don't know which printer/scanner you have but most are pretty user friendly. I even managed to rescue our wedding photos a couple of years ago. Old photos start to fade and discolor over time. A lot of scanners automatically fix and correct when you scan the pictures. If you have very old pictures it is worth taking the time to save them to your computer.
