Trimmed out - I don't know much about the Ossi hull but I had inquired about them prior to purchasing a Synthar. The Ossi and Synthar hull are about the same money. I had heard that the Ossi had a tendancy to spin out in tight turns. Both hulls are about the same length. I went with the Synthar Hull just like the one Racejunkie posted. John Vienan is the guy that builds the Synthar hulls. He was a former F1 tunnel boat driver and raced for one of the teams over in Europe.

I was impressed with the hull when I got it. John put some carbon fiber down the center mostly for looks but also for added strength. Eddy de Vries from the Netherlands is the guy you want to contact for more info on these hulls as well as the life-like Merc SSM #6 gearcase. The hull was designed to use the VP lower & midsection pictured on my hull. The midsection can be trimmed up/down. It also has a low water pickup built into the "gearcase" for cooling the engine just like on the full size Merc. I mounted a Quickdraw HT25 powerhead on it that puts out about 7+ hp. I'm still building the tunnel boat and plan to have it on the water by next spring so I don't have any first hand knowledge of how it handles yet. Maybe Racejunkie can comment.

You can reach Eddy via email for updated pricing on the hull and VP outboard lower. His email is vp-outboards@quicknet.nl Eddy, John and Rob are good guys to deal with and have an excellent product.

Thanks for the info, boat looks sick. Was always a fan of the tunnel boats, i use to race the the a,b,c stock and mod classes up by me. High points champ a couple times but now gas is just taking over. I have a gas cat that i love but would love to have one of these tunnels one day. Thanks for all the info guys, Gamblerss, lets see some pics throughout your progress!

Here's one thats been in the works. Lost interest due to PCS'ing all over Germany the last two years. Perhaps someday it'll see the light of day and the taste of water.

    Guy's

Take a look at this 'Synthar F1' with RCMK rear exhaust outboard. His name is Arian, a member of our club in Holland. This guy is doing a lot of testing.

Wow 68mph, wonder how fast it would go if it had more room? He has trim and weight ballance set real good.
The first one is close, move cg ahead a bit and some trim adj and your there.
    Pretty impressive.
