Finally got around to finishing my Vision ModVp to replace my wore out old OMC ModVp(on left) Was a great old boat, but the designer had a tendency to run me over during races Hence all the war wounds on that poor old girl.

Here's my beaters.
The Villain came from the neighborhood garage sale for $25 about 10 years ago. Recently I upgraded to a 2.4 GHz Link radio and EVX2 monster truck speed controller from EBay, I run it on a 5300 mAh Lipo.
The Nitro Vee was given to me for free by my neighbor after years of non-use. I freed up the gum-stuck motor and replaced a servo to get it running again. electric start and electric return-to-shore power are super handy.

I like to bring my electric Cessna 182 to the sandbar, the kids get a big kick out of it. The kit came from NitroPlanes, the floats are homemade. It has full function, including flaps. Power comes from a 2200 mAh LiPo...

The Traxxis was one of my first one's too Pyro, great starter/beater boat.
Now that the Vision is all done , It's time to finish out the 1/8th Scale- a few little details in the radio box/ fuel tanks and break in the new motor and see if she can still hold her own in D-3 .

Hey Andy, I only hit your boat once and Culhane hit it in another race. I must build tough boats as mine is still running and yours was too until you retired it! I am looking forward to the October race. Maybe Foley can get a bunch of the S&F crowd to come. (And watch Team Chrysler win for the first time in 35 years.

Yeah Mark, but I love not letting either one of ya forget it Besides it was at the same damn race- lol . That boat still has some life in it, Im thinking I may repower it and let Georganna run it.
We need to get Foley a tunnel to run- I'd be willing to bet Mic would let him wheel one
I cant wait for the outboard showdown- will be great times

Stoker,I have run a few different brand mono's - and Jerry's boats are hard to beat. Before I got my first mono, I watched em run at Dover Park and was hooked. Have not owned any other mono in years- Seaducers rock.........
As long as you dont mind the occasional 65-70mph stuff out of the clear blue sky

I hear ya. Been over at Jims for many years and learned of their nickname - sea-dunker. Still one of my favorites as far as the lines go and came real close to getting one in the Lime Green/neon orange splash. Gorgeous color combo.
