Hey specialk1 I don't know if you remember me but I am rcollector from over at rc universe. Some of the photos you have posted over on your amps thread there came from me. I have a fairly large collection of the amps stuff as well as many, many other boats and engines. not been messin with the rc stuff much lately but here is one of my old photos. This might be half of the AMPS motors I have.

The popeyes cat is a 50 inch made by International hobbies. The poor thing has had a hard life. Yes that is an inline twin 260 zen in it. The white boat is a 56 inch tunnel made by Performance International. It has a clutched 260 zenoah outboard I custom made using a lower from an old Kanellos outdrive. The silver boat is a Aeromarine sprintcat that is powered by a 35 quickdraw.

It's been a few years since I've played with the rc boats. I have always liked the scale outboards. It's amazing how lately the zenoah outboard has become more common. There were very few of them just a couple of years ago. And, what there was seemed to work not so well. Now there seem to be many options if you want to run one. Is there a AMPS outboard powered by a zen now? I only knew of the prototype and thought there was just the one.

Wow, only 4 of these little Mercs. What about the original 53" Amps tunnel hulls? How many of those were made?

That motor is in production right now. I spoke to the person building it. He will be selling it for
$2,000.00 U.S. He is also building a tunnel for that motor as well.
