At the risk of hacking off the FE lovers, I think the only people that would be interested in the FE BBF marine hardware is someone that is restoring an old flattie and wants to keep it original. Most, if not all of the people that are building Fords these days are using the 385 series BBF due to the abundance of good parts and the ease in getting big cubes. There are some V-drive forums that are comprised of mostly river racers that might might be a good venue to advertise in.

    Good luck!

I have always done well selling things like that on ebay. Or as stated above v-driveboat.com is a forum that has only v-drive boats. More people there will be interested in this stuff.

I have an old book about racing them with all the casting # info. Some of the FE stuff is very, very valuable. I never messed with them they were really before my time. I play with the 385 series stuff.

There are so many variations with the fe stuff that what you have could be anything from almost worthless to nearly priceless. I really can't think of any 427 stuff that isn't worth something though. Post a picture of the motor. Medium riser? High riser? Tunnel port? Is it a side oiler block? SOHC? Value varies wildly. Some of the rarest fastest motors were absolute beasts. But for a long time now that stuff has been rare highly sought after collectors items that are only ran with great care. There was a race only single overhead cam 427 that came out of the crate with 800 horsepower and that was in the 60's.

I think a little research would show the cammers of the 60s were more in the 600 HP range than 800. They were exotic motors for their time but not vastly superior to the Chrysler hemis in race form.

would need to see casting#'s the fe's were ok motor.390's a lot were made,428 lot less. and the monster 427 that was rare, a lot of the cars that blowed up in the 60's that still had warranty that had 428's or 390 gt's they put 390 back in because the supply was limited, if in fact it is a 427 most people that own then will not run em, i know were there is a 427 sitting on a stand ready to fire, but can not be replace it if it was to blow, even the 428's that were in the stangs and fairlane's that still run around the owners took em out and put 390's in em just incase something was to happen, they have soft valve seats and a lot got killed when they went to unleaded gas, soadem filled valve's if i spelt it rite, but when they break its like a bomb going off in the cly and junked the block.my uncle has a whole collection of fairlane's 427 cobra that he raced in the early 70's that you could eat off every part. 428 cobra fairlane.
