    towmax trailer tires??

Have marathons on the trailer now, and they wore funny, might not be the tires fault(had some brake issues with the calipers dragging, may have caused uneven wear?), but with them now being made in China, I am not going there, if i am going with a china product, I was thinking of trying something different. What I can get local in radial for 14" rims(I dont want to change rims), are Carlisles(Yuck), USA trail(which i believe is a rebranded carlisle), and Towmax, from what i have read on other forums(RV's) is that people have had good luck with the towmax. Anyone here have any experience with them?

OK, if it were a single then I'd say get a passenger tire all the way... Since it's a tandem I agree with You staying with a trailer tire, and I've heard the TowMax to be a decent tire... I don't think you'll find a domestic trailer at all, so I guess it's just a matter of the lesser evil if there is such an option here... I've also heard decent reports from the Kuhmo trailer tires...

    OK,

ordered the towmax, I was thinking Kumho, or Maxxis, but finding a local dealer is like winning the lottery if I had time to burn, would have ordered one of those mail order, but trying to get ready for a Keys trip next week.

If Your trailer's axles and spindles are good and straight, good tire pressure and the trailered tongue height is correct I'd say You should have pretty good results...

I sell alot of marathons, carlisle and Towmax...I've have good luck with all of them. Carlisle's did have some issues a few years back but they've seemed have corrected them. The towmax is a direct marathon copy...and they all come from China. I've got Towmax's on my Eagle from new and they've been good...

Just put 4 Tow Master's on my trailer, I've heard folks getting good tread wear from them. It won't be long and any and everything will be coming from China. They just about own us now !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been a couple years since this post so I was wondering if the Tow Max tires are holding up?

I would put truck tires on it but, if you want to go with trailer, i would go with Maxxis.

After searching for Denman tires which have been recommended, which I can't find anywhere, I'm going with Loadstar Radial 205/75 14 Load Range D 8 ply. Hard to find anyone with a load range D and Eastern Marine in Delaware has them.

Just an update to this o'l thread......

My 4 TowMax tires are all fine and well, good service life on the treads, no issues at all. I'd buy them again when it comes time.
