Not much in bolt on parts, you could have the ports modified to a 115 and change the heads...

It's a crossflow, I have a 95. Best just to find an earlier 140 drop-on.

Our reeds will idle/accelerate better, early 80's heads will improve compression, crankcase stuffers help, remove airbox cover and jet up 1or2 thousandths on the mains, not too much more to be done without going into the motor and spending a lot more $.

Bolt-on parts: Get a set of larger 110/115 carbs-with the 1 5/16" throats. Ditch the bathtub heads and find a set of very early 140 crossflow heads from the 77-78 timeframe. Install a set of 4 NLA rubber intake stuffers 322684. Composite reeds are a great addition. If you want to get into machining (teardown,) you can port it and add the exhaust bubble on the back of the engine. Your factory power pack will limit revs to 5800 rpm.

Chris Carson has a special reed to fit a special cage and with stuffers they work real well. Isn't that right Chris?
