New day cruiser project
25' 1977 Sleek Craft Ambassador. It needs a lot of work but it will be pimp when it is done. It still has the faux fur and fridge in the cabin. I think the wood grain and white part of the gel will clean up pretty well.
The good
* Floor is solid
* YJ pump has already been converted
* Hydraulic diverter
* All original and everything is there.
* Got it for a song
The Bad
* It is freakin filthy
* Interior is completely shot
* flake part of the gel is pretty faded

Love the sleekcrafts. They will run well with good HP, better than many smaller boats.

Did a little more research. I believe this to be an Ambassador and not an Executive. She is 24.5' long from the point of the bow to the transom. At some point the Ambassador went from 25' to 26'. I believe this is a 25' Ambassador.
The good news is a lot of her is cleaning up nicely:
(Excuse the heart. My wife was using the pressure washer)

Made some more progress. Interior is stripped out, title is transferred and boat is registered. All new battery cables and the motor has been started. The wife is still Doing her part. Hope her enthusiasm lasts through the end of the project.

Haven't updated this thread in a while. This is a brief summary. Got new seats from Veada. I still need to install them. I also made a new windshield for it.
