trim pump doesnt work... i officially have no luck.

ok so it now seems that every time i go out i come home with another problem...

the trim pump/unit stopped working sunday evening on the way back to the trailer... i included pics because i dont know exactly what i have the clamp and powerhead do not match so i snapped a couple pics...i noticed it when i got on it on the way back in the boat kept digging in then finally i realized what was happening. the trim was failing.

it makes a ton of noise both up and down on the switch.
the motor sounds like its running its just not pumping any fluid.
and its not leaking the fluid out so..
it has fluid i even double checked today.

so i assume it is the motor. can i buy the motor seperate for this trim setup?

does anyone have any opinions on how to go about fixing this or how not to?

do they make aftermarket parts ? im trying to save money but i cant seem to find any used units all i could find is the one with the pump in the boat.

and finally could i fix it without taking the clamp off? i really dont have any way to take the motor off where im at right now. im between moving houses and i dont have a way to take the motor off but if i could prop it up could i get the pump out? is it possible?

thanks for any help it would be appreciated

Buy a motor/pump combo, 150 bucks on Ebay, that's a first design 3 ram, just need to check if the motor is 2 or 3 wire.

It can be changed without removing the motor from the boat.

yeah its propped up when i took the pics it wont stay all the way up so i propped it.
and the two outside trim rams: when i was playing with it to make it suck up the fluid i just topped off in it. i pushed one ram down and the other came out.

I was thinking more along these lines, just a motor and pump.

We should get the serial number from your clamp, then look up the OEM number to be sure.

the trim motor u have should be a 3 wire meaning its a early model year 95 and down the three wire ones use solenoids instead of relays eather or motor will work just u would have to switch to relays there more reliable any way i think but if the trim motor is spinning strong the motor wouldnt be the problem. could be the internal seals on the pump itself not holding pressure they are just a bunch of orings that could be found at any auto part store
