The 300x is for sure more powerful. Shauns reads definitly make more power on top i gaind 400 rpm on top from stock 250 reed cages the throttle body doesnt make that much difrence on its own being that the reeds on a stock motor just cant swallow the (cfms) extra air. The most bang for your buck that will blow your mind will be a lightend flywheel and a hydrotech tuner shaun can get all of that done for u also very important to get the most from the tuner u need a simon poppet diverter u will remember me once u do these 3 things

I've had dozens of 300's on 21 Liberators. They both run well, but I get another 1-2 mph out of the 300xs. The midrange seems stronger on the 300xs. The 300x turns more rpm, so you can run a smaller prop which may give you more acceleration. If you run the same prop on both, the XS will be a bit faster. That's on a 21 Liberator. On other boats it may be different.

Lets say there were some flow bench developed , billet blocks available , do you think there would be a market for them ?
The stock blocks with every other rib removed have proven to pick up airflow on the bench , but in the real world there may or may not have the time to open and shut the larger , heavier and stiffer reed to take advantage of the added volume of media ( air / fuel and oil)they have the potential to blow once open and stable ...
Once winter is over in a few weeks .. maybe we can have some solid data to bring to the table ...
