Sea turtles in ny?
hi , i was out about a mile in the ocean today off long island and a sea turtle swam up to my boat.i tried to get a pic but it took off .; i just thought it was pretty cool to see around here.has anyone else seen them?

poor things dont have anywhere else to go with all that oil floating around

Last year I was in Buzzards Bay and I heard a disstress call someone made for a sea turttle caught on a marker buoy near Woods Hole. It seemed to turn into a big deal on the VHF.

That is cool!
Lots of interesting animals in the water up north this year. Quite a few BIG shark sightings and a few caught off the coast of Rhode/Block Island as well. Check out this article.
