Yea that would be nice, but you can do something other jet boats can't do.

It is called the "Hamilton Turn"

You can do a 360 degree turn while underway and keep going

You can also do a full on emergency stop. (But be carefull with this one)

It is nice except I only have a 10gal tank so I can only run about an hr or hr 1/2 before I am out of gas!

I stand corrected the speed they ran was 134.7 Km/h in 1975 during the Mexico open jet boat race.

Well it looks like the time for a motor came sooner than later. It sucked a head gasket last night. I could be mad but that will not help any so I started looking for a motor and found a BBC this morning. Hoping I can go pick it up sunday.

Check the water pressure from the pump to the motor. The 773 should have 2 feeds from the pump to the motor. They are prone to pump high psi numbers. A pressure relief valve is a good idea on them. It also depends on how your water is fed to the motor.

If it is through the headers then to the engine it shouldn't be a problem. If it is directly from the pump to the block a relief valve would be recommended.

Cool boat, Kodiak and Scott parts are both available here in the states from the NW.
Scott does make a trim nozzel for the hamiltom pump, not sure it has the preasure to shoot the huge rooster of the berks and AT's.
These guys can help you with what 3 impellers you need for a given HP and desired effect.
Here are a couple of links:
