    prop size help?

hey guys, got a 21' silhouette tunnel open bow. its real heavy in the front due to the seats and storage. i was running a 26p 3 blade cupped prop and having big problems getting out of the hole but fine on top end. i have a evinrude 225 and a 12" offset fixed jackplate. I was thinking a four blade cleaver 25p might be my best bet. I am looking to carry at least three people every time I go out and I was having trouble with just me in the boat...luckily I have trim tabs that I can put down to help me get going. I want some opionins!!!???

if your nose heavy a cleaver will kill you.... you need bow lift to raise and carry the forward weight.... you could try increasing in size any vent holes your current propeller has to bring the engine into a stronger power band

4-16-2014. 25 years old today... the fishin boat doesnt look to bad for a classic does she

things that were are no longer as they are today...

when you stated your having trouble getting out of the hole you didn't say if it's cavitation or horsepower issue! that info would help determine prop tuning.

if your happy with the top end on that prop you might try some wedge plates on the motor to get a little more tuck into the engine, might get you over the hump!
