Boat crash 6-12-10

well i was pulling my boat to the lake to finish breaking the motor in and i was running 60 mph when my trailer coupler broke (witch the safty chains were bolted to) and my boat and trailer past me and ran off the road and barrel rolled 3 times before the trees stopped it.

maybe just a little better than happening on the water,hope it's all fixable,and you're back on the water soon!

well i hate to hear that i hope it is fixable to and i hope Ur insurance company helps pay for any repairs needed

the boat is fine other than some small minor spider cracks and the battery tray is broken and it also took out the gas tank.the motor on the other hand is messed up bad.the motor mounts are broken the cowl and belly pan on the other side are toast and it got my skeg and torq tammer.but the prop is still mint. thank god i have a new 260 cowling and belly pan and a black midsection that is mint with solid motor mounts and a good tuner.

yea the trailer sucks but im getting another one.i still wanna through up over the whole ordeal it's a 2010 boat and been in the water 3 times.all this week i was runnin it and me and my wife and little girl were headed to the lake and we ended up not getting there.IT WILL BE READY FOR THE SUWANNEE THE 3RD AND 4TH

Same thing happened to guy I worked with, but his boat came around and smashed the boxside of his freshly frame-off restored 76 GMC Pick Up. Hope the damage isn't to bad to fix.

im just amazed that the boat stood up to that like a champ.i would have never guessed it would live through that.

I just took mine out today to break in the new motor i built.and to me a new boat. Got to get use to the boat whole different animal. yea the forth is closer than we think! GL

had a similar incident a year ago, following beef & kevin to crooked lake event, toung snapped off behind safety chains ,boat crossed a rural road,came back & bounced off my truck & stoped in front of us, no damage to boat or motor, just a "scar" on the truck. we were very lucky that day! got rig flatbeaded to a nearby trailer builder, fixed & back at the lake within 3 hours. the stv now sits on a new aluminum trailor!

Got a pic of the coupler. I would like to see how/where it broke? Through the hole for the pin? Was it rusted out inside?
