    BUMPIT
    Starting to put the 225HO together soon, block is headed to the machine shop next week. How many thou should I get cut off of the heads to run pump gas? 91-93 octane? How many CCs am I looking for? Also, a couple of you guys are running their Etecs over 6k with no limiter, how has your oil consumption been? I know running the stock units around the limiter really starts to suck the tank dry.

    I don't think many people let it "Hang out" above 6 grand long enough to notice a difference in oil consumption. It's waaay better than an efi or carb motor though.

    Most machine shops cannot cut them because you have to cut the deck of the head flat and then also cut the hemisphereical squish band back into them so the dome of the piston does not hit. Call Gordon at monty racing he has all the specs for what you need.

    Baja i cant remember is your Etec a 250 or 300 15 SM ? Any idea what she weighs?

    It's a 13 3.4 300 with a 3.0 1.62 sportmaster. The sporty is heavy so it probably weighs more then any weight savings id guess an honest 500. Beefs got the same setup but 250 on an xb02 and has been almost 90 with a small wheel (zero setup time). but it slams limiter and tries dropping the bow, the boat doesn't like that so we are taking our time (tight heads and 7500 box are in the works).
