20ft action marine "u812" help please!!!!
HELLO GUYS, IM NEW TO THE FORUM, AND WAS LOOKING FOR SOME INFO. I JUST BOUGHT BACK MY FATHERS TOY, ITS A 84' 20FT ACTION MARINE WHICH WAS NAMED "U812" (WHICH I CANT SEEM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IT MEANS)! IM GOING TO COMPLETELY RESTORE THE BOAT, IM LOOKING FOR ANY INFORMATION, PIC'S, ANY HISTORY ON IT, I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND OUT ANY INFORMATION ON IT. THANKS FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCE, DREW NJ

Thanks for the replay! Hull id # is ACM21003D484, titled as a 84' 21' action. I remember when my father owned it there were small decals on the stern of the hull that read action marine hollywood fl? The hull measures 20 plus ft, i saw that there is a 20 action, does anyone have a pic of one? drew

Well the HIN is Action and they were built in Hollywood for a while and Freddy has seen one first hand so I guess that mystery is solved. I was unaware Action built that style boat. The only 21' I remember was the old open fisherman/Paramount style boat.
What kinda power do you have in mind for it?

According to my dad, it seems that Barney only built one of these boats. So if that's true, you've got a one-of-a-kind boat.

Back in the late 70's, Barney popped a couple different size CheckMates, the MX-13, stretched to 14', this 20'/21' CheckMate, etc., before he moved on to the HydroStream pop.
