Need to know the pump output pressure. I'm sure the pump will support the volume but you need a minimum output pressure capability of around 90-110 PSI to the regulator. A 260 needs 39-41 psi at the rail and the Drag style and later ECU's require 56 psi. (black regulator)

Is that 39-41 psi when the engine is running? Mine is set at 40 psi when the pump is on and the engine is off, but the pressure drops about 4-5 psi when the engine is running.

The pressure is lower at idle to allow better idle characteristics. What you see seems normal.

I run a Bosch 984 on both my 260's , one with a 39 lb system and 1 with a 56 lb system . Double filter in front of the pump ......wire them with 10 gauge wire and a 25 or 30 amp breaker or fuse . Very reliable for years now ...mount it as low in the boat as you can .

Tom nailed it. For the cost of that weldon on E-bay you can buy a Bosch 984 from Brucato a mounting bracket & hose adapter with some serious beer money left over. And you're buying from a supporting vendor.

I use an aeromotive as does alot of others. You'll need to make sure you get a high pressure one. This is the one I use and i fabricated a special mounting bracket.

That's gonna depend on what ECU you're going to run. You can use either the 39 psi or 56 psi factory regulators with that pump, but the ECU number will determine which one to run.

Thats why he needs to use a adjustable.
