Getting water into my engine compartment HELP PLEASE
Hi, I have a 1978 charger trihull jet boat with a 455 olds and a berkeley jet. My problem is. I took it out for the first time and it is spitting water out of the top backside of the motor where the flex plate is. Anyone know what could be the cause of this? Ran fine last season. The motor seems to be running great otherwise.

It could very well be a freeze plug on the side of the motor. Olds don't have freeze plugs on the back like a Chevy. What you're seeing spraying is the water in the bottom of the boat getting picked up by the flywheel and churning it. Makes it look as if the leak were back there.
