Dewald props
Guys
Lately, I have been hearing only good things about these props and how they will add a few mph to the top end. Are the prices comparable to the other manufacturers? What would I expect to pay for a 14.5 x 28-30 4 blade?
Thanks
Frank

I have their address, but don't want an akward conversation if they are asking a $1000 plus when I can get another manufacturers for $600 , Just trying to get a ballpark figure. With all the people on this board spending big dollars on upgrades, I would expect somebody jumping in with a price.

Bought a set of 15+34's and they are competively priced with all other high end manufactures.
I will tell you that you will not find a new prop like that for $600.00 dollars.
I would call him.

Props
Dave and his father Craig have been building race only props for 25+ years... His designs are his he has them cast they are not copies of a merc etc... they are also not someone elses reworked... You can buy them directly from them at the same price that i sell them for... Let me be clear I DO NOT make any money on them, Dave has helped me throughout the years and i can not remember the last time i won a race without one of his props... He comes down every winter and we test for the upcoming season and i try all the stuff he has thought up over the winter... some works and some does not but we will try anyhting... He started this simply because he was nice enough to build me something to try ..... We have 2+ years of testing and trying things to get to this point he has invested alot of time and money.... Through his racing background he is also very experienced in knowing how thin he can push his props without failure (we know this by going to far and backing it off)... He also has specific heat treat process that he has come up with through years of trial and error... I can confidently say that his quality is among the best in the world... All that being said i try to help in anwering questions and figuring out size (diameter&pitch) as well as what design we have 4 signifigant variations along with a 5th on the way to go with because if Dave is on the phone all day he can't build new props... Dave and Craig are not intersted in selling 20 sets of props a month... it is just them 2 and they are still supplying most of the racing world props... Depending on which design they are 1300-1500 a prop which includes a year warranty on breaking... Our entire goal was to build something faster, more efficient, and most importantly more durable than what was was available I believe we have accomplished this.... I am sorry for the long post as i have offered to every person that has pm'd me or called I will send anyone anything I have to try

These props are the real deal!!! you'll have to spend more than $600 for a prop but it will be well worth it. From the experience I have had with them they are they best all around wheel money can buy

If you look at the picture Shaun posted, you can see a smaller set of blades near the hub, this helped my boat{20 foot fastcat} almost the same as a 21 skater, excellerate the best out of any big pitched prop 33+ i have tried yet.

One of the best things about them is thier efficiency..
Example:
I used to run 15X35 labbed 3 blade mercs
I now run 15X34 Dewald 4 blades
Mercs @ 4800 rpm were 74mph
Dewalds @ 4800 rpm are 83 mph
They do not slip like the the mercs, the negative is below 40 mph they are sluggish but anything over that they eat up the mercs... The razors that Fastcat refferred to accelerate even harder
