my dad just bought a 86 shadow 21ft has the tunnel hull, 86 225 johnson power. 8" offset, prop shaft 2" below pad. has a shooter 13 1/4x 27p prop 4 blade. we had the boat out one time ran good but a little slow out the hole. need a prop the will take off faster. boat run 70gps with 2 225 men and 4 marine batts and full tank gas 5400rpm's, had alot more but was the first time driving it and my dad was about 2 cry, lol. the last owner said it run 84 with 1 person. boat was completly redone in 2006 new transom knees, really a nice boat. the boat never felt like it was getting any lift.. whats the best prop for this boat??

That shadow hull is a cool hull!!! But its not ur standard bass boat hull it turns like it's on rails and it doesn't JUMP out of the hole.. Also the tunnel V doesn't carry the load well versus a standard bass boat hull. As for the prop it sounds like that 26 4 blade shooter would be about right for that setup. Try to feather it out of the hole and let boat come up naturally a bit before you stab the throttle!!
