Go Check out the 3 Lakes Shoot Out Info!!
Hey Everyone;
Time to start planning this summers "Lake Invasions" and Funfests. There is a link here to the post on the 3 Lakes Shoot Out and Fly In. This is the moost fun event event I've attended since the first few Rumbles on the River! Go here to check out the link at Upcoming Events: http://forums.screamandfly.com/forum...d.php?t=213843
The competition is really going to heat up this year. 3 Lakes Jim is fine tuning the schedule to provide more classes, more water time and best of all, more fun events. There is a class for everyone and everything that goes fast for what it is. You just can't beat the the amount of time you have to run and run and run what ya bring. Winning your class is always good,BUT, you won't have a more FUN time on the water trying to do so.
If it floats and goes faster than usual, there's a class for you. I love the Pontoons going 80 MPH's!
A couple of things you should know already. The Northern Air Resort is already booked for that weekend. No matter, as there are plenty of motels, hotels, campgrounds and rental cottages at reasonable "family" pricing to be had. There is something for everyone. Crusing a pristine chain of lakes, good fishing from shore and boat, shopping for the bored better halves, great cozy eating spots, and a police and fire deparment that realy support this event.
The link post mentions 100 boats, but if the weather cooperates, I predict there will be more than a 100. This bash is growing fast and there's no reason anyone within 500 miles shouldn't try to attend. Even my canuck buddies should be able to attend since the US Dollar depreciated so much, HEY? They have a bunch of blow you out of the water STVs and are a great group.
There are lots of opportunities for some of you newer enthusiasts to learn from some of the best on the Midwest. Jim Ruck and Bill Gore always show up, plenty of Blarney Island Hardcore racers show up and hoping more of the Minn gang comes back to the "chain" like the old Nickfest crowds.
I hear Joe P, the Great Flying Cartwheel Master has a secret 1/4 master in his new workshop. Only reason he won't show up is to protect his beautiful daughters from the likes of some of you! (Joe, I think I found your new shop today on way back from Kenosha aroundf lunch. Cal me.)
Enough already. Going to bed. You S&F boaters who attended this event last year jump in for a while.
