new merc coming, how much to charge for old one?

wanted to thank all for their help with picking a new engine. very excited, she is getting dropped on next monday! chose a '96 carbed 200 merc. looks good and sounds great as they say!

my question is now, what do i charge for the old '78 200 merc? it needs celenoid, the trim needs some work and the controls are a bit iffy.

thanks again for the help and the suggestions on this!
    cheers!

No expert on pricing an engine so what I do is search the for sale forum and try and find similar motors for sale. That should get you in the ballpark and you can go up or down based on improvements from the example in your motor or down for items not working so great or less desireable.

Try and match the lower unit to a like type likewise the midsection (including type of trim system i.e. hi perf or fishing).
