OK--OK-----so i didn't go------doesn't mean i wasn't invited----i just had things to do and places to go----so wuz otherwise engaged as the saying goes.!!!!!!!!!!! Took Jilly on a mad tour of Italy for a week or so---did the whole shebang from top to bottom and all points in between, last 2 days spent in Viareggio ----5,000 klmts in all---like if anyone's interested.
Aimed at all you old hoarders of interesting and useless bits if boating gear---i would like a keller blue faced 100/120 speedo from the 6o's [had one in a cupboard for 40 years --but just when it would have come in useful----i lost the damn thing] Also had a bunch of Dean Moons massive dials ----but they got lost on the way too.
It's for an idea of Gofish to build a little something for the demented section of the OFF group ------so when you get a minute-take a look in the garage and see what you got laying dormant in there. Old ladies and ex girl friends i do not want--if you come across them in there------take my advice 'LEAVE 'EM BE'. DO NOT DISTURB.!!!!!!
Summer finally arrived in the south of France, so looks like i will have to wipe the boats bum and put the new trim rams on and do a little picnicking .
Made a bunch of "hole in one trophies" for my daughter and son in law and a coupla friends who put that little bastard white thing away in one smite. She wanted a custom made trophy in stainless and wood and granite to remember the occasion , so i made her one----her husband liked it so much he went out and did it himself--------the hole in one i mean just so he could have one. Anyway the upshot of all this is---i have made close to a dozen of them for various would be ace golfers. One of the reasons i kept quiet for a while, i been busy trying to earn a crust so i can make the october OFF this year.

Amazing how i can shut down a thread without really trying. Was just making polite conversation about what i do and nothing in particular and the whole thread goes into limbo. What IS the matter with you old fogies ???????? Talk to each other while you still can !!!!!!!!

Hiya Jim, Preferably 100----120 mph. This is to finish "The Hauser" for the Off meeting in October, Talk with Gofish ---he can tell you all about it--------it's his baby-------i'm just the putter togetherer. He has some pictures of the project.

Sorry I have been missing all The OFF events. Due to Other social obligations in federal Reeducation centers I missed all the fun. But I just got my batteries changed in my pacemaker in my ankle bracelet yesterday so maybe in the future I can make it or maybe not

15 race boats at Mercury Lake X in the mid 1960's.

This photo was taken before the Offshore building was built. The Offshore building is going to be where the mobile boat hoists are in the picture. The increase in outboard and sterndrive horsepower mounted on/in longer offshore boats, out-grew the 1960's original shop's space-capacity.

OFF guys from Mercury Lake X like … Odell, Bakos, Sirois, Ridgell, and Strickland operated these boats on the high seas.
