    carb swap to efi no ground to fuel pump

    2.4 200 swap to 220 laser and i tried to bust it off this evening and fuel pump did not come on so checked and it has no ground to it but it has constant power on the + side any body no what it may be. i hope its not the ecu

    it should have constant power and I think it gets it's ground through the ecu.

    Red is +
    red/purp is ground through ecu.

    how does the ecu get its ground could it be something besides the ecu

    With a volt meter and black test lead on a good ground first check for batt voltage at + fuel pump terminal. If that's good test for voltage at the - side of the pump, turn the key on it should be 2 volts or less then raise to batt voltage after 30 sec. if not ecu is bad.
    with the meter the same, cranking should be 2 volts, if not ecu or pump is bad


    What ecu do you have? I've got a spare A17 and fuel pump

    well i got it goin. when i got the motor the warning module an all that stuff had been removed so i didnt no wut to do with the purple wire an none of my wiring diagrams showed me so i left it off an now i figured out what to do with it so it works fine now thanks for the help
