    carbon tracking

'89 200 johnLooking at the tops of my pistons. Two have thick consistant black covering almost the whole piston except in front of the exhaust. One has almost as much.Three have very little carbon spread out inconsistantly.Does this indicate a fuel problem, porting problem? Thanks

With 1,3,5 not having carbon it could be a weak stator as the stator is port/starboard

You may also want to make sure both banks are at the same temp.
