What do you think, Action Marine 20' ?

Looking for ideas on this boat, it is a 1990. Enjoy going fast but I also like to bring friends along, sometimes I pull out my waterski and pretend I am a younger man. Any ideas would be helpful. Past boats-
STV euro w/ 225 promax- found it & sold it on Scream & Fly
    Paramount 21' w/ 225 merc
    Malibu Sunkicker Wakeboard - Ski
    Malibu Barefooter w/ 200 merc
    Skater 21' w/ dual XR 150's
    Skater 18' w/ merc 225 - what a ride
    Hydrostream V-King w/ 150 Evinrude
STILL HAVE- DeSilva 12' Runabout w/ Yamato 102
1943 Dragonfly (w/ canvas bow cover) W/ merc KG7 Quicky
this boat hangs on a wall inside my home -
Sunfish Sailboat that works but needs some TLC
My adult son (27) loved the Malibu Sunkicker, he can do flips on a wakeboard. Thought about a 21' checkmate Pulsar BR that could fit friends & family. Put a big motor on it and a wakeboard tower, maybe even some trim tabs to ski? I like outboards and hyd jack plates to get through some shallow spots. I'll shut up now and let you guys tell me the perfect boat might be.

Not a big Bow Rider fan . But those 21 CheckMates sureare some nice boats . WildMan has a couple , rigged and ready ,with Big Xs motors on them . Have you given an Allison Grand Sport any thought ? Great boat , and capable of ding what your looking for . Aslo , The Triad V21 , came in both open bow ,and closed bow versions .

    Good Luck !

    Hi B.W.R.
Is a 1990 Action all fiberglass? What would be the best to power a 20' er? Do you run w/ a jack plate? Thanks- Scott

    Hi Rich:
I have only seen pictires of the Allison GS. Looks cool, with lots of room. Not too many around here. Owners are super loyal.

Yes, that would be all fiberglass and wood (unless someone has already modded), as for a motor any 200hp+ would run fine, jackplate 6" or your choice. There are alot of people with more experience and knowledge than I on here, I am sure you will get alot of great advice, good luck.

Those are super nice boats, I have never really looked into them per say but was just reading the description on their website.

They claim 80+ with a 150. Is this true?? If so that's amazing.

Also I noted they have a warning not to run a 3.0l because of weight.

Just thought those facts were interesting.

Would love to have one some day.
