The boat is a 1977 Hydrostream V-King 460 (400 HP) with a stock panther jet. This was a prototype boat & never put into production.
The only reason I have a tail is because I have the ride plate set way down (forcing the bow down) to keep the pump from going dry. Hydrostream like to fly & not stay on the water.

Am i missing something in 101 of jet pumps, reason i say that is, there is no cavitation coming from pump getting on plane.

There's no problem with the hole shot. It's the top end (65 mph). The V-King was designed for an outboard. At 65 it rides on the pad or the last 10 inches of the boat. My pad is the intake for the pump. Any waves & the pump goes dry. On the outboard's at 70 the pad is barely in the water. By putting the ride plate down, I'm forcing the boat to stay in the water for the top end.
