    18'1 action marine what motor

    well i still worcking on the trandsome of the boat but i found the this mecury 225 opti max was wondering for what do you you all think of the 225 optimax for the boat and what mph i should get out of it and what work can be done to it thanks

    and what jack plate for it do you recomend if i put that or a mercury 2.5

    4-6 inch jackplate should be fine..get an ajustable one so u can fine tune it anywhere your at without needing a cherrypicker...u need a low water pick up also if your gona really get after it and try to go fast too..if u have that set the nose cone level wit the pad and start there..it should haul ass...be carefull....lol
